other ranger attacks
put some pts in earth for conviction too if desired
Heart of Fury

-Weapons-
A Sundering/Vampiric short bow or long bow of enchting with +15% dmg while enchted is best

-Usage-
  • Favorable Winds, Read the Wind, and Heart of Fury all increase attacks speed(im not sure if they stack yet, i have to test more). Increased attack speed is good for when Lyssa is active cuz even general melee does massive added dmg vs foes activating skills.
  • How massive? +6 dmg (Fav Winds), +9 dmg (Read the Wind) = +15 dmg total. BUT if you're hitting a foe activating a skill Lyssa does +53 dmg for a grand total of +68 dmg from general bow attacks!
  • Skills like Mystic Vigor and Faithful Intervention help keep ya alive.

of course for different things you may sub out different skills but this is mainly what i use when i feel like rangering on my derv

If you're running against fleshy stuff and you're fighting with a short or recurve bow, Screaming Shot is another alternative (especially if you don't have Factions and Needling Shot isn't available to you).

Bonus: I've gotten a lot of comments that my derv looks pretty cool with the bow; it's uncommon and interesting, so there's that going for it too.

Never thought of using Lyssa when I was doing a D/R, I like the build though easy to use ( I was using a build like it but I was doing a Barrage build ), this build will do well in higher level parts of and of the games for PvE, it could also work well in PvP.

( Dervishes don't look good with bows they look freaking awesome haha )

I just dont see the advantage of using this over a scythe, atleast with a scythe your attack skills are hitting multiple foes and triggering the dmg bonus more often. Also, are you really able to spam needling shot that much without expertise? I see your concept and appreciate your originality but i think if you wanted pure dmg with a bow you'd be further ahead with a rt/r and using spirits strength. But i guess this is a pve build and thats not possible :P Oh and i'd switch out crossire for dual shot that way you can catch long casting spells for some dirty dmg. Keep it up and good luck.

lyssa with daggers is the best melee build u could get in game so NO scythe is not the best.
